Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of **storymailco.com** and your purchase or use of Story Mail Co. products and services. By visiting the website, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or purchase our products.
Story Mail Co. is located at PO Box 172, Kellogg, Idaho 83837, United States. Our online store is hosted by Shopify.
## Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to place an order. Story Mail Co. products are intended for adults. Although the stories may contain clean romance, they may include mature romantic themes, obsession, danger, or implied intimacy and are not intended for children.
## Products and Story Content
We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately. Colors, paper appearance, packaging, and other physical details may vary slightly because of screen settings, printing variations, product updates, or availability.
Story descriptions, release timing, characters, packaging, bonuses, and availability may change. We may limit quantities, discontinue products, correct errors, or cancel orders when reasonably necessary. If we cancel an order that has been paid, we will provide the refund required by applicable law.
## One-Time Purchases—Never Subscriptions
Story Mail Co. sells one-time purchases. **We do not sell subscriptions, and purchases do not automatically renew.**
Some products consist of a complete story delivered through multiple letters mailed on a schedule. The fact that fulfillment occurs over time does not make the purchase a subscription. Unless the product page says otherwise, letters are mailed approximately every two weeks.
## Payment Plans
An installment or payment-plan option offered at checkout divides the price of one purchase into multiple payments. It is not a subscription or recurring purchase of new products.
Payment-plan services are provided by third parties and are subject to the provider’s eligibility requirements, payment schedule, disclosures, and terms. After Story Mail Co.’s 24-hour cancellation window, the customer remains responsible for the purchase price and any remaining installments according to the payment provider’s terms, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
## Prices and Payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes and the complete order total will be displayed at checkout. Standard U.S. shipping is included for physical Story Mail Co. products unless a product page expressly states otherwise.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase, billing, and contact information. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted with the order.
## Orders and Acceptance
An order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order; it does not necessarily mean we have accepted it. We may refuse or cancel an order because of suspected fraud, payment problems, inaccurate information, product unavailability, pricing or listing errors, legal restrictions, or other reasonable business concerns.
If we cancel a paid order, we will issue any refund required by applicable law to the original payment method or as otherwise required by the payment provider.
## Order Changes and Cancellations
To request a change or cancellation, email **writeme@storymailco.com** within 24 hours after placing the order and include your order number and checkout email address.
After 24 hours, orders enter fulfillment and cannot be changed or canceled except where required by applicable law. Please review the Refund Policy for additional information.
## Shipping and Delivery
Story Mail Co. currently ships only within the United States through USPS or UPS. Orders are normally processed within 2–3 business days. Individual letters are generally not tracked; tracking is provided for certain boxed or all-at-once products as described in our Shipping Information.
You are responsible for supplying an accurate and complete recipient address. Delivery timing may be affected by carriers and circumstances outside our reasonable control. If we cannot ship within the promised time, we will provide any notice, cancellation option, or refund required by applicable law.
## Returns and Replacements
All sales are final, and we do not accept returns or exchanges, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Eligible damaged, missing, or incorrect items may be replaced in accordance with our Refund Policy. Our Shipping Information and Refund Policy are incorporated into these Terms.
## Gifts
You may purchase eligible products for another adult. You represent that you are authorized to provide the gift recipient’s name and mailing address for the purpose of fulfilling and supporting the order. Gift recipients are not enrolled in marketing merely because they receive a gift.
## Intellectual Property
The website and its contents—including stories, letters, characters, fictional worlds, artwork, designs, logos, graphics, product names, photographs, downloads, and written materials—are owned by or licensed to Story Mail Co. and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
Your purchase grants you the right to enjoy the product for personal, noncommercial use. It does not transfer ownership of the story or other intellectual property.
We welcome customers sharing photographs, reactions, and brief excerpts on social media to help spread the word about Story Mail Co. Please avoid posting complete letters, substantial portions of a story, downloadable files, major spoilers, or content that would allow others to reproduce or experience the product without purchasing it. Story Mail Co. content may not be copied, republished, sold, distributed, adapted, used to train an artificial-intelligence system, or commercially exploited without our prior written permission.
## Reviews and Customer Content
If you submit a review, photograph, social media tag, testimonial, or other content directly to Story Mail Co., you confirm that you created it or have permission to share it and that it does not violate another person’s rights.
Unless we separately ask for broader permission, submitting content through our website gives Story Mail Co. a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and share that content for operating and promoting Story Mail Co., with attribution when reasonably appropriate. You may ask us to stop using customer content in future materials by emailing **writeme@storymailco.com**, although we may not be able to recall materials already printed or distributed.
## Acceptable Use
You may not use the website or our products to:
- Violate any law or another person’s rights.
- Commit fraud or submit false purchase, payment, or contact information.
- Interfere with website security or operation.
- Introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access.
- Scrape, harvest, copy, or commercially exploit website or story content.
- Resell, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Story Mail Co. content without written permission.
- Use Story Mail Co. content or customer information to develop, train, test, or improve an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system.
## Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use or link to third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers, social networks, and other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, terms, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms.
## Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, products, and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that every customer will respond to a fictional story in the same way.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
## Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Story Mail Co. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the website, products, delivery delays, or these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Story Mail Co.’s total liability for a claim relating to a particular order will not exceed the amount paid to Story Mail Co. for that order. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
## Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Story Mail Co. harmless from third-party claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
## Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or the mandatory law of another jurisdiction applies.
Before filing a legal claim, you and Story Mail Co. agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter informally. Please send a description of the concern and the requested resolution to **writeme@storymailco.com**. If the matter cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Idaho, except where applicable law gives a consumer the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
These Terms do not require arbitration and do not prevent either party from using a small-claims court that has jurisdiction.
## Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes apply prospectively and do not alter an order already accepted except where legally permitted and clearly communicated.
## Severability and No Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
